Le mur de mots

My goal this year is to make my word wall really easy for my students to use.

Last year we had one big word wall, with ALL our word groups mixed together (in alphabetical order). I know some teachers who break up the word wall into groups (e.g. ER verbs, classroom objects, etc). I haven't tried this, but it also seems like a great idea!

I've decided to stick with alphabetical order for my bulletin board word wall, but then use a pocket chart for our Science/Social Studies words. This way the bulletin board doesn't change over the year (we just add to it), and I can easily move words in and out of the pocket chart.

Do you have a word wall in your class? I'd love to know how you organise your words!
